Guiding Eyes (GEB) is a nonprofit providing superbly bred and trained guide and service dogs that expand horizons for people to achieve life’s goals. All services are offered free of charge to men and women who are blind or visually impaired and to families with children with autism. My family and I have raised six dogs for GEB. Each pup has changed our lives, and the life of another, in ways we could never imagine.

The image above was created for Edtech 506 and shows me surrounded by the dogs I raised. The quote at the bottom is from a t-shirt that a co-worker gave me as a present. She thought I could wear it at work to limit the number of people that approach me each day to fix their home computers. The shirt is great, but I don't mind lending a hand when needed.

About Me

I work as the District Technology Integration Specialist for Guilford Public Schools. Everyday, a new challenge awaits me. I work with great people, in a caring environment.

I am a passionate technology evangelist with a proven ability to integrate technology, design curriculum, and conduct professional development in academic, private and nonprofit sectors. My engineering design skills, coupled with advanced IT experience, allow me to uniquely implement and use E-learning, learning management, and content development applications.

By embracing the TPACK framework, I strive to empower educators by letting them showcase their technological, pedagogical and content knowledge.

My experience at BSU has been awesome. Trying to narrow down my e-portfolio to just two dozen artifacts was a major challenge.
